Faculty & staff

Our teachers bring outstanding qualifications and talents to First Presbyterian Preschool. All lead teachers hold a bachelor’s degree in early childhood education, child development or a related field; many have advanced degrees.  Working in classroom teams, our teachers are the pillars of our community.

  • Fifty-five percent of our faculty and staff hold Bachelor’s degrees in Early Childhood Education (ECE), Early Childhood Special Education or Early Childhood Development.
  • Fifteen percent of our team hold Master’s degrees in either ECE or Special Education.
  • 30 percent of our faculty have numerous years’ teaching experience and bachelor’s or master’s degrees in related fields.
  • 100% of our specialists (Art, Music, Gardening/physical health) hold degrees in their respective fields.

Being a learning community is a high priority at FPP. Our teachers participate in 25-30 hours of professional development each school year.  They eagerly incorporate early childhood research and ideas into their curriculum planning and daily practice. Additionally, several faculty members are currently pursuing advanced degrees in early childhood education.
